Limited Warranty

Every Red5WatchWorks watch is covered by this Limited Warranty for two years (24 months) from the delivery date, for the original purchaser only.

What is covered

We cover defects in the movement and in our assembly work. If a covered defect appears within the warranty period, we will repair the watch or replace the part at our choice, at no charge for the repair work.

What is not covered

  • Normal wear: scratches, marks, and aging of the case, crystal, crown, strap, or bracelet.
  • Strap and bracelet wear. These are wear items.
  • Water damage when the watch was used outside its rated water resistance, or when a seal was opened or stressed by the wearer.
  • Damage from drops, impact, crushing, heat, chemicals, or magnetism.
  • Loss or theft.
  • Any work, opening, or modification done by anyone other than Red5WatchWorks.
  • Timekeeping that sits inside the movement specification. The Miyota 9039 runs within about minus 10 to plus 30 seconds per day. Daily variation inside that range is not a defect.

Water resistance

Water resistance is not permanent. Seals age with use. This watch is rated to 50 meters (5 ATM), which suits everyday splashes and rain, not swimming or diving. We recommend a pressure test every 12 to 24 months. Water entry caused by an aged or opened seal is not covered.

How to make a claim

Email red5watchworks@gmail.com with your order number and a short note or photos of the problem. We will reply with return instructions and a shipping address. For a valid warranty claim, we cover shipping both ways. Typical turnaround is 4 weeks.

Your rights

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Where we provide this written warranty, the length of any implied warranty is limited to the length of this warranty, to the extent your state allows.

Independence note

Red5WatchWorks watches are built and modified by us on third party movements and parts. The original movement maker's warranty does not apply. This Red5WatchWorks Limited Warranty applies instead.
